The Wikimedia Foundation - the organization leading global democratic access to knowledge - engaged with VITAL to redesign multiple floors of their office. To drive the design, VITAL sought the in-depth involvement of over 50 people at the Foundation. Through this research VITAL discovered a shift in work style from nesting at individual desks to nomadic, undedicated to one area. The furniture layout supports these diverse habits by blending workstations with lounge areas to provide spatial fluidity. VITAL also created a gathering space with custom millwork suitable for meetings and events or simply relaxing. The Foundation's workplace is now fit to positively change the habits of its workers.
